DO I HAVE TO PAY TO PARK?
Absolutely not!! It’s FREE!! We do not charge for parking at any of Dell’Osso Family Farm events.
CAN SPECTATORS COME?
Yep! Bring ’em down to the farm! They won’t have to pay for parking and there are great areas to view the participants running in the Lathrop mud run. Also, they can hang out at the Beer Garden!
WILL IT BE DIFFICULT?
Our mud course for this mud run near Sacramento /Lathrop is designed to be difficult, but not impossible. It also promises to be an outrageously good time.
CAN I WEAR A CRAZY COSTUME?
Absolutely! The crazier the better!
DO I REALLY GET A FREE BEER*?
That’s how we work on the farm. Work hard. Play hard. Then each paid participant gets one free beer! Party at the Beer Garden! *Must be over 21.
CAN I BRING MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO WATCH?
Bring one. Bring ten. Bring a hundred! The course was designed to be spectator friendly for any fan of running events in and near Sacramento and the Bay Area, so family and friends can witness first-hand your thrills of victory and spills of defeat.
HOW DO I CREATE A TEAM?
We don’t have anything set-up on line to create a team at this time, but everything is more enjoyable with friends. You can designate a team captain and have them coordinate everything for your team. Make SURE all your team mates choose the correct wave to run in or else you’ll be running solo.
HOW LONG IS THE COURSE?
The course on the FARM is 5k or 3+ miles.
WHAT DO I BRING?
Your photo ID (required at packet pick up).
A change of clothes.
An initialed, signed and dated copy of the participant waiver. This is optional, but will save time in line! Download load here to save time. If not you will have to fill one out at the farm.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress in gear that you won’t mind getting filthy. We recommend athletic footwear and bringing a change of clothes and a washable bag to hold your soiled gear.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I LOSE A SHOE IN THE MUD?
Pack an extra pair! lol! May we suggest duct tape!
WHERE DO I GET MY EVENT PACK?
Packet pick up is at the Country Store where all contenders must check in and pick up their race bib & t-shirt.
IS THE MUD RUN ON THE FARM A RACE?
Yes, but it’s also a personal challenge. The goal is to give it your all and do the best you can. Period. Everyone will be timed and reports will be available on line after the event.
HOW THE HECK DO YOU TIME THIS EVENT?
A computer chip is attached to your bib and electronically collects and processes results at the end of the race. It gives each runner their individual time that starts once they pass through the starting line and ends when they finish.
WHAT IS A WAVE START?
Instead of releasing 5000 insane runners at one time we stagger the start times in 20 minute intervals to avoid bottle-necking and waiting at obstacles. Don’t worry, your time doesn’t begin until you cross through the starting line. What is critical however, is that you start with your wave. Any person running at a time different then their designated wave time will not be timed.
WHAT IF I CAN’T DO AN OBSTACLE?
If there’s an obstacle that’s too much for you, go around. No shame there. Personal safety is the most important thing. But completion of the obstacles is required to win fast time.
DO I HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO SWIM TO DO THE COURSE?
Nope. Water obstacles won’t be more than waist-high.
WHAT ABOUT SHOWERS? HOW CAN I CLEAN UP AFTER THE EVENT?
We will have showers here at the farm, but we can’t promise hot water. Bring a change of clothes and you will be more than ready for the Beer Garden.
WILL THERE BE A BAG CHECK?
There will be a complimentary bag check at the entrance to the Country Store.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS CRAPPY?
We play rain or shine here at Dell’Osso Family Farm.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING FOR AFTER THE EVENT?
Surviving the course is a feat worth celebrating. Bring your party’tude and weather appropriate clothes. The post race party will be held outside at the Beer Garden.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE?
Twelve. Sorry to all the younger lil’ mud runners but you’ll just have to keep training and wait until your time comes. If you are 12 or 13 years old you must be accompanied by a paying adult (parent or guardian) participant.
CAN I BRING MY POOCH? We only allow small dogs under 25 pounds and they must remain on a leash. Service animals are welcome.
DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS? You made a commitment. You stick to it. All entry fees are non-refundable.
CAN I CHANGE MY WAVE TIME? Yes you can change your wave time, however we do not have the ability to simply make the change. To do this before ticket sales close you will have to purchase your new wave time ticket (keep in mind you may be paying a higher price for your new wave time ticket but there is no fee to do this). Once that is complete, click on the email link here firstname.lastname@example.org and request a refund for your original ticket. You will receive a confirmation email from Ticketleap when the credit is processed.
Wave changes on the day of the event will incur a $20.00 processing fee.
